Essay Examples I remember one night, a couple barged into my room while I was sleeping. My second family was the Martinez family, who were friends of the Watkinsâs. The kids always had something warm to eat, and were always on their best behavior at home and in school. On rainy days, Michael, Jen and I would sit on the porch and listen to the rain, talking about our dreams and thoughts.
